Graham Rahal Performance
🇺🇸 Indianapolis, Indiana · United States
IndyCar driver Graham Rahal's Indiana operation, respecifying Porsche Carrera GTs to individual order two decades after the last one left the factory.
Graham Rahal Performance is the Zionsville, Indiana business of the IndyCar driver of the same name, part specialist dealer, part tuning shop, and increasingly known for Project Recommission. The premise is the chance to order a Carrera GT to personal specification some twenty years after production ended. Each car receives a major service covering clutch, rear main seal and water pump, dry ice and steam cleaning of the chassis and powertrain, and paint protection over a buffed monocoque, before the bespoke work begins: paint, caliper and centre-lock colours, leather or Alcantara trim with matched stitching, refinished OEM or HRE wheels, and a choice of rebuilt Sachs, Öhlins TTX36 or KW suspension with hydraulic lift. Five have been completed, from Amethyst Metallic to Bianco Italia. Restraint is the whole point: this is factory-order theatre applied to a modern classic rather than a reimagining of it.
