Bruce Canepa's Scotts Valley Sport Canepa programme, from the 800hp 959 SC to the first reimagined Carrera GT, revealed at Amelia in 2026.
Canepa sits in Scotts Valley, California and is the work of Bruce Canepa, a racing driver turned collector-car dealer who helped push through the Show or Display legislation that finally let 959s be driven legally in the United States. The Sport Canepa programme began with the 959 SC, a 4,000-hour rebuild capped at 50 cars that lifts the car from 444hp to over 800hp using BorgWarner turbos, Pankl titanium rods and firmware co-developed with MoTec, on 959S-spec suspension with Penske dampers and 18-inch wheels engineered with Michelin. That template has since extended to the 918, 934, 993, 964 and now the Carrera GT. The first Carrera GT SC, finished in bespoke Liquid Metal Green and shown at Amelia in 2026, combines mechanical work by Repasi Motorwerks, including a steel multi-plate clutch and an exhaust worth 40hp, with a Cafe Latte cabin trimmed in house. Bruce Canepa leads the design of every commission personally.
