Privacy Policy

This website is an informational site operated from the United Kingdom. You never need to register to use it, we set no tracking cookies of our own, and we do not sell personal data. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through the two forms described below, or by email.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the site, Vercel processes technical connection data (such as IP address, browser type and time of access) in server logs as necessary to deliver the site securely. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

Visitor statistics

To understand which pages are read, we use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our host Vercel Inc. It sets no cookies and does not identify you or follow you across other websites. It records the page visited, the referring website, your browser, operating system and device type, and an approximate location (country, region and city). Visitors are counted using an anonymous value derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. We only see aggregated figures. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).

YouTube videos

Some pages contain videos embedded from YouTube. We use a two-click solution: no data is transmitted to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) until you actively click play. Once you start a video, YouTube may set cookies and process your data under its own privacy policy. We use YouTube's extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The legal basis for the transfer after your click is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR).

If you subscribe to our newsletter we store your email address and, if you tick the box, the fact that you own a restomod, so that we can send you the letter. The list is held by our email service provider, Kit (Kit, Inc., formerly ConvertKit, USA), which processes it on our behalf; transfers to the USA rely on the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We use double opt-in: you are only added once you confirm through the link we email you. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing ends any further use of your address for the newsletter.

Private Sales register

If you write to us through the Private Sales page, we receive your name, contact details and the information you give about a car you might sell or the car you are looking for. We use it only to consider and, with your agreement, arrange introductions between owners and buyers. We never publish it, and we never pass your details to another party without asking you first. Your entry is delivered to us by email through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) and kept in a private spreadsheet in our Google account (Google Ireland Limited). Neither provider uses it for its own purposes. Registering does not subscribe you to the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) and steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b)). We delete an entry when you ask us to, and in any case after 24 months without contact.

The directory links to builders' own websites. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the destination site applies.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
