Unleashed by E-Type UK: a 400hp, 6.1-litre V12 reworking of the Series 3, from a Kent dealer restoring E-Types since 2008.
E-Type UK has bought, sold and restored Jaguar's E-Type from its Kent base since 2008, and Unleashed is its restomod arm: the Series 3's 5.3-litre V12 bored out to 6.1 litres and reworked with a lighter flywheel, new fuel injection and a ceramic-coated exhaust for around 400hp, driving through a five-speed manual. Springs, dampers, roll bars and brakes are all upgraded and the chassis stiffened, while the cabin gains air conditioning, Bluetooth and hidden modern trim behind hand-stitched leather. Each car takes more than 4,000 hours, with ten commissions planned. A restomod built by people who have handled more E-Types than almost anyone else.
