The Walkinshaw name returns. The TWR Supercat reimagines the Jaguar XJS as a 660hp supercharged widebody GT.
Revived by Fergus Walkinshaw, son of racing legend Tom Walkinshaw whose TWR team took Jaguar to Le Mans glory, the new TWR launched with the Supercat: a Jaguar XJS transformed with supercharged V12 power around 660hp, carbon bodywork and thoroughly modern chassis engineering. It trades on real heritage given TWR built the original XJS touring car winners and the XJ220 and brings one of the great unloved GTs into the restomod era with genuine motorsport credibility.

Supercat
Limited series (88)TWR Performance, reviving the Tom Walkinshaw Racing name and celebrating 50 years of the marque's motorsport heritage, has built the Supercat as its first road car, a hand-built, limited-edition super-GT engineered by a team drawn from McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Williams and Formula One programmes. At its heart sits a TWR-developed, supercharged 5.6 litre V12 with dry sump lubrication, producing 660 bhp and 730 Nm, driven exclusively through a manual six-speed gearbox and a plated limited-slip differential, with no electronic aids softening the connection between driver and machine. The chassis pairs TWR double-wishbone front suspension with a multi-link rear, both fitted with an active dynamic damping system, alongside vented steel brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers and an optional 12-level programmable ABS. The Supercat measures 4,766mm long, 1,975mm wide and 1,210mm high on a 2,591mm wheelbase, weighing in at 1,605kg, built in partnership with specialists including Sabelt, Michelin, Tractive, Bridge of Weir Leather, Goodridge and HRE Wheels. Production is strictly limited to 88 examples worldwide.
