Alfa Romeo Giulia GT reimagined in carbon offered with a fire-breathing Alfa V6 or full electric power.
Totem Automobili builds what many consider the definitive Alfa Romeo restomod: the GT Super and GT Electric, based on the 1960s Giulia GT but wearing widened full-carbon bodywork over an extensively re-engineered structure. Buyers choose between a heavily developed Alfa 'Busso'-derived V6 or a full EV drivetrain, a pragmatic hedge that has kept Totem in front of both camps of collectors. The design walks the line between homage and hot rod, and the build quality has earned serious press attention.
Models & builds
GTElectric
Limited series (20)The first model in Totem's restomod program, launched in 2020, the GT Electric reshapes the silhouette of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA into a fully electric Gran Turismo built almost entirely in carbon fibre. A rear-mounted electric motor delivers 590 hp and 900 Nm of torque, sending the car from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds and on to an electronically limited 210 km/h, with power routed through an integrated inverter and limited-slip differential managed by Totem's own control unit. The 81kWh battery pack, built from twelve UN38.3-certified modules inside a honeycomb aluminium case, weighs only 352kg and supports AC charging up to 6.6kW or DC fast charging up to 90kW, giving a range of roughly 470 to 500km per charge, while drivers can toggle between Dynamic, Normal and Advanced Efficiency settings depending on how they want the power delivered. The chassis follows the same formula used across the range, a carbon fibre monocoque merged with sections of the donor car's original steel structure, aluminium front and rear subframes, double wishbone suspension with dampers from ORAM, and Brembo brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, all wrapped in bodywork built around the Giulia GTA's original proportions.

GTSuper
Limited series (40)The GT Super moves the same platform onto a combustion footing, built around a bespoke 2.8 litre twin-turbocharged V6 codenamed Gloria and developed with Italtecnica specifically for this car. Weighing under 180kg, the engine uses a two-stage sequential turbocharging layout with combined direct and port fuel injection and dry sump lubrication to produce 640 hp at 7,200 rpm and 655 Nm at 5,000 rpm, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual open-gate gearbox mounted as a rear transaxle with a limited-slip differential. That combination pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and on to an electronically limited 240 km/h, in a chassis weighing 1,180kg thanks to the same carbon fibre monocoque, aluminium subframe and ORAM-damped double wishbone suspension used on the GT Electric, with matching Brembo brake hardware front and rear.

GTSuper SP
Limited series (10)Billed as the final chapter of Totem's five-year restomod programme, the GT Super SP takes the GT Super's formula to its most extreme point. The carbon fibre body is widened by 130mm around the wheel arches, with reworked side skirts integrating dual lateral exhausts developed with Capristo that can be electronically adjusted for sound, a redesigned rear diffuser and tail section for added downforce, and a more aggressive front fascia with additional cooling vents to match the car's higher output. Power comes from a 3.2 litre evolution of the Gloria engine, badged Gloria SP, producing 740 hp with the help of a steering-wheel-activated power boost function and up to roughly 750 Nm of torque, driven through the same six-speed manual open-gate transaxle gearbox as the GT Super. The extra performance is matched by a reengineered chassis with fully independent, electronically adjustable front and rear suspension calibrated via dual rotary selectors on the steering wheel, along with carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes and 19 inch wheels, taking the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and on to 250 km/h.
