Mecanica Alma
🇵🇹 Oliveira de Azeméis · Portugal
A Portuguese tribute to a Group B Alfa Romeo that never raced: an 880kg Alfasud-based restomod styled after the Sprint 6C.
Mecanica Alma is a small Portuguese engineering house founded by mechanical engineer Rafael Soares, and its Alma Sprint is a tribute to a car that never existed: the Alfa Romeo Sprint 6C developed for Group B rallying but shelved before it raced. Built on an Alfasud floorpan, the restomod wears the 6C's styling over a reinforced chassis, uprated suspension and brakes, and a reworked 1.8-litre four-cylinder tuned to around 160hp in road trim or 220hp in its sharper spec, all in a car weighing under 900kg. Just 20 are planned. For Alfa romantics, it resurrects a footnote of rally history nobody else has touched.
