Officine Fioravanti

Featured house

🇨🇭 Coldrerio · Switzerland

Swiss specialists re-engineering the Ferrari Testarossa with modern suspension, brakes and electronics beneath the untouched 1980s style.

Officine Fioravanti, a Swiss engineering house, re-engineers the Ferrari Testarossa into what it calls the "Sportclassic": 510hp from the reworked flat-12, adaptive suspension, modern brakes, electronic driver aids that can be fully disarmed, and a 201mph top speed, all beneath untouched 1980s bodywork. The philosophy is invisible modernisation: nothing about the Miami Vice silhouette changes. Each commission is developed around a Monospecchio donor to obsessive standards. The Testarossa, finally driving the way it always looked. More recently, Officine Fioraranti added the "Evoluzioni Tecniche" line offering technological upgrades for the Ferrari 512BB and the Alfa Romeo 8C (including a manual conversion).

Evoluzioni Tecniche

Available to commission

The Evoluzioni Tecniche division carries out bespoke technical interventions on client cars, and its two showcased projects illustrate very different approaches. The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione M starts from the limited-run, 500-unit 8C Competizione and addresses its known dynamic shortcomings, replacing the original six-speed sequential robotized gearbox with a manual transmission and adding new integrated vehicle management electronics, electronically controlled and adjustable …hlins suspension, a carbon-ceramic braking system, FIA-approved carbon fiber monocoque seats developed with LMT Laboratori Meccanica Torino, a significant reduction in overall weight and a new engine calibration that unlocks additional power. The 512BB takes a more discreet route, preserving an appearance indistinguishable from the original 1970s car while replacing its carburetor system with a modern engine control unit hidden inside faithfully reproduced, solid-machined replica carburetors, alongside a new, more efficient electrical system, all specifically designed to remain fully reversible so the car's period charm and originality are never compromised.

Sportclassic

Available to commission

The Sportclassic line is built around a non-conservative restoration of the Ferrari Testarossa, in both Monospecchio and Monodado form, reinterpreting Pininfarina's original 1984 design with contemporary technology rather than a straightforward restoration. The interior is refreshed with fine leathers and solid detailing in place of the original plastics, a premium modern audio system, USB-C charging, Apple CarPlay and a bespoke luggage kit, alongside a period-correct 1980s mobile phone prop that connects via Bluetooth to the passenger's own phone for calls. Underneath, Officine Fioravanti fits electronically adjustable …hlins dampers with a front lift system that raises the nose by 70mm, Brembo brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, ABS and traction control adjustable across twelve modes from Normal and Wet through Sport and Race, and new 17 inch front and 18 inch rear wheels.

Hyperclassic

Available to commission

The Hyperclassic line represents Officine Fioravanti's most ambitious concept, a new vehicle category the company coined to elevate past motoring icons into the elite ranks of hypercars. Its flagship project, the TR Alte Prestazioni ("High-Performance" in Italian), is a one-of-one built from a Ferrari Testarossa, reworked from the ground up rather than simply modified so the donor car effectively gains an entirely new mechanical, electronic and aesthetic DNA. Its heavily reworked flat-12 engine, fitted with a revised dedicated ECU, dry sump system and bespoke exhaust, produces around 600 hp and a 200 mph top speed, running through an optimized chassis on billet suspension components backed by electronically controlled …hlins dampers and an electro-hydraulic steering rack. Stopping power comes from a GT3-spec Brembo braking system with 12-step adjustable ABS, and the car rides on custom retro-inspired five-arm wheels, 18 inches at the front and 19 inches at the rear. Officine Fioravanti has indicated that further automotive icons are expected to receive the Hyperclassic treatment after the TR Alte Prestazioni.
