Retro Defenders

Retro Defenders is the custom Land Rover arm of Retro Automotive, building bespoke Defender 90, 110 and 130s from its workshops just outside Boston Spa in Yorkshire. Each truck is reimagined to the owner's brief by an in-house research and development team whose party pieces run from integrated cabinetry and ski tunnels to champagne fridges and bespoke roof designs, with drivetrains ranging from original Land Rover units to the Chevrolet LS3 V8 or a full electric conversion. Builds typically take up to twelve months, and every car covers a minimum of 500 test miles, including testing in the conditions of its delivery destination, before handover. Owners follow progress through a 'Track Your Build' app that logs daily photos and video, and each finished Defender is backed by a one-year warranty.
