Monarch Defender

🇺🇸 Grayslake, Illinois · United States

Ground-up, not restored: Illinois-built Defenders on all-new chassis with GM LS3 or LT1 V8 power, since 2016.

Monarch Defender takes a different approach to the Land Rover Defender restomod: rather than rebuilding a donor truck, every commission starts from a new, KTL-coated chassis and all-new running gear, built up in Grayslake, Illinois since 2016. GM LS3 or LT1 V8 power, modern transmissions, upgraded axles and brakes, and a bespoke leather interior turn the Defender shape into a genuine daily driver rather than a restored curiosity. The range spans 90, 110 and 130 wheelbases plus a pickup, each a one-off built to a single client's specification. For buyers who want the Defender look without any of a forty-year-old chassis's compromises, Monarch is the American answer.
