Officially licensed continuation and restomod Fords: Mk1 Escort RS and RS200 (coming soon) programmes with Ford's blessing.
Boreham Motorworks, part of the DRVN Automotive Group, holds something rare in this world: an official licence from Ford. Named after Ford's legendary Boreham competition department, it builds continuation and reimagined versions of the Mk1 Escort RS and soon the RS200 engineered from the ground up rather than converted from donors, with Ford's official sanction. For collectors who care about legitimacy and provenance as much as engineering, that licence changes the calculus entirely.

Ford Escort MK1 RS
Limited series (150)The Boreham Motorworks Ford Escort Mk1 RS is an officially Ford-licensed, all-new car rather than a restomod though in the spirit of a restomod, built with a certified Ford chassis number and limited to 150 commissions worldwide. The steel body is paired with a carbon fiber bonnet, boot and interior structure, the wheelbase is stretched 30mm over the original Escort geometry for added stability, and the chassis rides on a bespoke tubular front subframe with motorsport-derived MacPherson struts up front and a six-link floating live axle at the rear. Power comes from Boreham's own TEN-K engine, an 85kg, Formula 1-influenced unit with belt-driven camshafts and individual throttle bodies that revs to 10,000rpm and produces 330PS, driving through an automatic torque-biasing differential with no traction aids or driving modes to filter the experience. At a target weight of just 895kg, the Mk1 RS is pitched by Boreham as "the ultimate B-road car," backed by a two-year, 20,000-mile warranty and an experience-led commissioning process run through a dedicated client liaison and the DRVN Design Team.

Ford Escort Alan Mann 68 Edition
Limited series (24)The Ford Escort Alan Mann 68 Edition is a much more purpose-built proposition, a period-correct Group 5 continuation of the championship-winning 1968 works Escort raced by Alan Mann Racing, limited to just 24 examples and engineered exclusively for historic circuit competition rather than road use. Boreham built the bodyshell from a full 3D laser scan of the original car, XOO 349F, translating it into a CAD model so each continuation chassis is dimensionally accurate and repeatable while preserving the period livery, trim and switchgear. Power comes from a 1.8-liter Ford Twin Cam engine with twin Weber 45DCOE carburettors producing 205PS through a Ford Bullet 4-speed straight-cut manual gearbox, while GT40-derived front suspension and a rigid rear axle with Watts linkage echo Alan Mann's own 1966 Le Mans-winning program. Weighing under 800kg with near 50:50 weight distribution, the car is assembled and dynamically set up by Alan Mann Racing in Chobham, Surrey, close to the team's original Byfleet base, and ownership includes access to historic racing events and specialist driver training led by Henry Mann.

Ford RS200
Not available yetThe Ford RS200 is Boreham Motorworks' third and still-unreleased icon, teased on the site as "Ford's New Supercar" and currently listed as coming soon rather than open for commission. Full specifications have not yet been published, but early reporting suggests it will be an entirely new ground-up build rather than a strict continuation, expected to retain the original RS200's mid-engine, four-wheel-drive Group B layout while replacing its fiberglass body with extensive carbon fiber construction and modernizing details like the lighting and interior. As with the Mk1 RS and Alan Mann 68 Edition, it will carry an official Ford license and be built in a very limited run, though pricing, power figures and a firm commissioning date have not yet been announced.
