Sacrilege
πΊπΈ Salisbury, Connecticut Β· United States
Connecticut studio converting air-cooled 911s to electric power, with Blackbird and Enigma builds that won over a sceptical enthusiast press.
Sacrilege Motors was set up in Salisbury, Connecticut by Porsche specialist Bobby Singh and finance entrepreneur Phil Wagenheim to do the one thing air-cooled purists said should never be done. Donor cars are 1974 to 1994 911s, restored to concours standard and rebuilt with roughly 500bhp of electric power, a claimed 3.8 seconds to 60mph and around 200 miles of range, using Fellten powertrain hardware, Penske Racing Shocks, Brembo Racing brakes and Fikse wheels. The Blackbird roadster and Enigma coupe have both been shown at Pebble Beach, and the reaction from titles including The Drive and Robb Report has been unusually warm for an electric 911. Coupe and roadster commissions are configurable, and clients can supply their own donor.
