The Porsche 928 finally gets the restomod treatment: a carbon-bodied French-Italian grand tourer.

While the world restomods 911s, Thierry Nardone bet on the 928, Porsche's V8 grand tourer, and the result has been one of the most talked-about debuts in the scene. Nardone Automotive's 928 wears carbon-Kevlar bodywork styled with Italian design house input, a reworked 5.0-litre V8, modern chassis electronics and a properly redone cabin. It answers a real gap: a restomod you'd cross a continent in. For GT-minded buyers rather than track-day hunters, this is the standout choice.

Available to commission

Nardone Automotive reimagines the Porsche 928 as a full ground-up recreation rather than a restoration, a project that has spawned over 3,000 newly designed parts. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 producing 450 hp and 522 Nm, managed by a Motec ECU and paired with a custom-built six-speed gearbox, a world-first design built from nearly 200 bespoke parts and mated to a mechanical limited-slip differential. The body is finished entirely in carbon fibre over redesigned front and rear axles built to suit a wider track, riding on 18 inch forged wheels with an increased Brembo braking system and active, electronically controlled suspension. Inside, the cabin is completely reworked with a minimalist dashboard, a choice of leather or Alcantara-style trim, and a custom Hi-Res audio system running through 11 speakers.
