Kugel Werks reads the restomod brief backwards: instead of modernising an old car, it rebodies a current one. The Los Angeles company made its name with the S600, a single 1967 600 Grosser rebuilt over AMG E63 S underpinnings with the wheelbase stretched by roughly eight inches and a reported price around $850,000. Its second car, the One Eleven, applies the same logic to Paul Bracq's W111 coupe using a W205 AMG C63 S Coupe, so the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, 510hp, seven-speed Speedshift gearbox, suspension and electronics all carry over intact beneath widened arches, LED lighting and 20-inch wheels. Production is limited, deliveries were slated to begin in 2026, and prices start near $480,000. Closer to a modern coachbuilder than a restoration shop, which makes it one of the more conceptually distinct names in the field.
