Fifteen Eleven Design

Fifteen Eleven Design spent three years developing its take on Porsche's unloved 914 before opening order books, and the result shows in the detail. A 3.8-litre flat-six lifted from the Cayman, running forged pistons and a Life Racing ECU, sends around 400bhp through a chassis stiffened with T45 tubular steel and hung on Reiger adjustable coilovers. The carbon-fibre body widens the original's slim proportions rather than copying them, giving the car real presence. The team works closely with Mellors Elliot Motorsport, holder of twelve FIA World Rally Championship titles, and that competition rigour runs through the engineering. Fifty commissions are planned from the Bakewell workshop.
