Remastering the Lotus Esprit. The Series 1 wedge brought up to modern standards.

Encor is a British start-up in Chelmsford doing for the Lotus Esprit what Singer did for the 911. Its Series 1 rebuilds the V8 Esprit under a full carbon body shaped with KS Composites, with a team drawing on Pagani, Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, Porsche and Lotus experience. Fifty examples are planned at £430.000 plus donor and taxes. The original wedge, one of the great shapes of the 1970s, finally gets the remaster treatment, and early reactions suggest the wait was worth it.
