RUF Automobile

Featured house

🇩🇪 Pfaffenhausen · Germany

Germany's legendary manufacturer of Porsche-based cars from the 1987 CTR 'Yellowbird' to today's carbon-tub SCR and CTR Anniversary.

RUF is not a tuner and, strictly speaking, not a restomodder either. It is a certified vehicle manufacturer in its own right, building Porsche-based cars in Pfaffenhausen since the 1970s. The 1987 CTR 'Yellowbird' became a legend, and today's CTR Anniversary and SCR pair classic 911 silhouettes with in-house carbon-fibre monocoques and RUF-built engines. For buyers who want the classic look with genuinely modern engineering underneath and a storied name on the title, RUF sits in a category of its own.

Ehra

Available to commission

The RUF Ehra is the marque's newest ground up sports car, its name drawn from the Ehra-Lessien test track where RUF set one of the defining moments in its history with a top speed world record, and the car is built to carry that same relentless pursuit of performance forward. It rides on a RUF-developed carbon fibre monocoque wrapped in a lightweight carbon body, with a widened front and rear that sharpen its stance while improving aerodynamics, cooling and stability at speed. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.6 litre flat six producing 650 PS at 6,250 rpm and 900 Nm of torque, sent through a seven-speed manual gearbox to RUF's own switchable all-wheel-drive system, good for 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/h, all in a car that weighs 1,325 kg. Double wishbone suspension with horizontally mounted pushrod spring-damper units at each corner balances precision, agility and comfort whether on a twisting road or at the car's outer limits, while inside, a monochrome brown cabin with hand-stitched leather and checkered Pasha-pattern seat inserts gives the EHRA a distinct character of its own. As with every car to leave Pfaffenhausen, uncompromising performance is paired with everyday usability and long-term durability, and following its debut at The Quail during Monterey Car Week in August 2026, the EHRA now carries RUF's engineering philosophy and identity into a new era of grand touring performance.

Rodeo

Available to commission

The RUF Rodeo takes the marque's performance DNA off-road, built as the world's only rear-engined, manual-gearbox, carbon-monocoque off-road vehicle, inspired by RUF's history at Pikes Peak. Its 3.6 litre engine produces 610 hp at 7,100 rpm and 760 Nm at 4,000 rpm through a six-speed manual gearbox, reaching 250 km/h despite a 1,350 kg gross weight, with elevated ground clearance and a bespoke dual-wishbone, pushrod suspension on all four corners for genuine all-terrain capability without sacrificing RUF's characteristic performance and emotion, offered in strictly limited production numbers available exclusively through RUF.

CTR3 Evo

Limited series (20)

The CTR3 Evo is RUF's most powerful car to date, built around a twin-turbocharged, intercooled 3.8 litre flat-six producing 800 hp at 7,100 rpm and 990 Nm at 4,000 rpm, using variable cam timing and lift, direct fuel injection and dry-sump lubrication, sent through a double-clutch seven-speed gearbox operated by paddles. It rides on a steel chassis with an Integrated Roll Cage inside a lightweight carbon-composite body, McPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension, six-piston brakes with 15 inch carbon-ceramic rotors front and rear, and forged five-spoke wheels up to 20 inches at the rear, reaching a top speed of 236 mph.

SCR

Sold out (70)

The RUF SCR, launched from a 2018 prototype, pairs a longer wheelbase and extensive lightweight construction with a 4.0 litre naturally aspirated flat-six producing 510 hp at 8,270 rpm and 470 Nm at 5,760 rpm, driven through a six-speed manual gearbox. At just 1,250 kg, it reaches 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 200 km/h in 11.9 seconds and tops out at 320 km/h, protected by an integrated safety cage of high-strength lightweight steel, a carbon-fibre monocoque and carbon-ceramic brakes.

CTR Anniversary

Sold out (50)

The CTR Anniversary, first shown at the Geneva Motor Show to mark the 30th anniversary of the legendary "Yellowbird," was RUF's first car built around a carbon-fibre monocoque fully developed and manufactured in-house, with a steel-tube axle carrier, crash structure and integrated safety cage. Its 3.6 litre flat-six delivers 710 hp at 6,750 rpm and 880 Nm from just 2,750 rpm, sent through a newly developed seven-speed manual gearbox and locking differential to a dry weight of only 1,250 kg, reaching 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, 200 km/h in under 9 seconds and a top speed beyond 360 km/h. Double-wishbone suspension with Formula 1-style pushrod-actuated dampers and a braking system with 380mm front and 350mm rear ceramic discs underpin the chassis, while the minimalist two-seat cabin uses Alcantara, leather and carbon fibre, carbon composite seats, a three-spoke steering wheel and analogue instruments, with production limited to 50 examples.
