Datsun 240Z restomods. Japanese classics rebuilt to exacting British standards.
MZR Roadsports rebuilds the Datsun 240Z from its Bradford workshop, founded by Rahail Tariq after he could find no one in the UK to restore his own imported S30. Builds range from the Sports Design around £90,000 to the full carbon-bodied Evolution with a bored-out straight-six of up to 3.2 litres and around 280hp. Henry Catchpole and Top Gear have both come away smitten. The definitive European address for Japan's most beautiful classic coupé.

Sport Design
Available to commissionThe Sport Design is the marque's core model, built on a hand-selected shell sourced from the dry states of the American west coast, stripped to bare metal and protected with epoxy primer inside and out before a polyurethane underbody coating and Dinitrol wax-injected cavities. Power comes from the correct Datsun L6 unit bored to 2,800cc or 3,100cc, acid dipped, balanced and hand rebuilt with a programmable ECU, Jenvey throttle bodies on an MZR sports inlet manifold and coil-on-plug ignition, driving through a new six-speed sports transmission with a stage two clutch and a new limited-slip motorsport rear differential on a heavy-duty CV axle conversion. Chassis upgrades include 30-way adjustable coilover suspension with T45 aircraft-tube rear control arms, a quickened motorsport steering rack with speed-related power assistance, and a fast road brake package with four-piston front calipers on 300mm discs and single-piston rear calipers on 280mm discs, while the exterior gains a carbon front valance, stainless sports bumpers, three-piece MZR aluminium wheels in 16 or 17 inch sizes and a central-exit twin-tip carbon exhaust, with the cabin retrimmed in nappa leather and basket weave, retro electronic gauges, a DAB and Bluetooth sound system and a T45 integrated roll hoop.

MZR 50 Anniversary
Available to commissionThe MZR 50 Anniversary is a limited-edition variant built in celebration of the 240Z's fiftieth anniversary and based on the Sport Design underpinnings, adding a bespoke body with increased track width and subtly more muscular proportions while retaining the original car's timeless lines. Its bodywork blends traditional handcrafted steel with lightweight carbon fibre panels, and it carries the same 2,900cc to 3,100cc engine options, MZR EFI package, six-speed sports transmission, motorsport limited-slip rear differential and heavy-duty CV axle conversion, 30-way adjustable suspension with MZR's own motorsport suspension arms, power steering and integrated air conditioning as the Sport Design, further distinguished by redesigned front aerodynamics, larger wheels, an upgraded brake package, MZR-50 specific sports gauges and fully individual interior trim options.

Evolution
Available to commissionThe Evolution sits above both as MZR's most extreme model, built around a lightweight carbon composite exoskeleton body developed exclusively for clients seeking the ultimate expression of the 240Z. It combines bespoke motorsport component upgrades with modern technology and automotive artistry to push performance and ownership beyond the Sport Design and MZR 50, with full specification handled on a client-by-client basis through direct enquiry rather than a fixed options list.
