Scandinavian design meets race engineering. A World-champion touring car team rebuilds the Volvo P1800 in carbon.
Cyan Racing, Volvo's official motorsport partner and a World Touring Car championship winner, builds the P1800 Cyan: the elegant 1960s coupé re-engineered with a carbon-reinforced body, bespoke chassis, and a 420hp turbocharged four-cylinder developed from its race programmes. No driver aids, a manual gearbox, and geometry developed by racing engineers make it one of the purest driver's restomods anywhere. It also proves the genre extends well beyond Porsche and Land Rover. A Swedish icon, remastered by the people who race Volvos for a living.

Volvo P1800 Cyan
Available to commissionThe Volvo P1800 Cyan is built by Cyan Racing, the five-time World Touring Car Champions, out of Gothenburg, Sweden, starting from a genuine sixties or early-seventies donor P1800 and rebuilding it into what the company describes as its own interpretation of a period grand tourer. Power comes from a lightweight turbocharged twin-cam four-cylinder Volvo engine, drawn from the same architecture Cyan has used to win touring car titles and set NŸrburgring records, tuned here for a linear power delivery reminiscent of the original naturally aspirated engine and offered up to 420hp at 7,000rpm. Drive runs through a bespoke five-speed Holinger gearbox and a carbon fiber propshaft to a Cyan-designed independent rear suspension, replacing the original live rear axle, with the client's choice of differential and gear ratio shaping the car's character. Every commission is fully customizable, from exterior color and wheel choice to interior trim and chassis setup, letting owners spec anything from a lightweight cafe racer to a comfortable long-distance tourer, and each car is hand-built in-house by Cyan's racing mechanics and fabricators at its Gothenburg headquarters, with clients invited to follow their car through the build process.
