Vigilante

🇺🇸 Johnson City, Texas · United States

Texas Hill Country workshop doing nothing but full-size Jeeps, from Grand Wagoneers to Scramblers, with Hemi and Viper V10 power and six-speed manuals.

Vigilante works out of Johnson City in the Texas Hill Country and has narrowed its focus harder than almost anyone in the American restomod business: full-size Jeeps and nothing else. The catalogue runs across eight signature platforms, Super Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Wagoneer, Cherokee Chief, Cherokee S, four-door Cherokee, Gladiator and Scrambler, all rebuilt to a process the company says it has refined over a decade. Mopar power is the house signature, from Hemi V8s with six-speed manual gearboxes to an 8.4-litre Viper V10 making around 825bhp in one Cherokee. Finished cars run roughly from $260,000 to $500,000, configurable online for the Grand Wagoneer and Scrambler, and the press coverage is unusually broad for a boutique shop, taking in Robb Report, Forbes, Road and Track and Wallpaper.
