Audacious Automotive takes an unusual route to the Ur-quattro: rather than rebuilding an original, it starts with the complete structural, mechanical and electrical architecture of the Audi B7 RS4, keeping the factory floor structure, suspension geometry, drivetrain, braking and control systems as one coherent foundation, then rebuilds everything around it in quattro proportions. Commissions come two ways. Hand-formed cars retain a genuine Ur-quattro upper structure, roof and glazing with new steel and aluminium panels worked around them, while carbon cars use an entirely new upper body. Four engine programmes run from a 600bhp supercharged baseline through 750bhp to naturally aspirated and supercharged units turning 10,000rpm, all with a six-speed manual and Torsen four-wheel drive. Fifty commissions are planned, built in Britain, no two alike.
